Pastor Joel Young
Bro. Joel is a native of Murfreesboro, growing up down the street from the Sword of the Lord. He was saved February 25th, 1990 at Bellwood Baptist Church in the Teen Sunday school class. He met his wife Lacie at Riverdale High School and they were married on May 27th, 2000. Following his call to preach in 1998, Bro. Joel worked as an assistant pastor for 12 years at Middle Tennessee Baptist Church and Fair Havens Independent Baptist Church. At the end of 2010 the Lord began to burden him to start a Church in his hometown of Murfreesboro and in March of 2011 the Redemption Baptist Church was birthed. Bro. Joel has a strong burden for the bus ministry and to lead a younger generation back to Biblical truths. He has two children Joelie(17) and Trent (13). He is also a graduate of the Old Paths Baptist Institute (2000).
